Over the past 25 years, Crawley has been at the forefront of the health and fitness industry. His initial work in the field began as a Certified Athletic Trainer at The University of Southern California, his alma mater. While at U.S.C., Dave was a member of the Athletic Medical Staff that cared for athletes on 13 Division I National Championship teams and numerous Olympic medal winners. (Had USC been a country in 1976, they would have come in third in gold medals won at the Montreal Olympic Games.)

After leaving USC, Crawley went on to develop and promote health and fitness centers in Southern California. His initial effort in 1979 resulted in the development of Mid Valley Athletic Club, a 100,000sq/ft luxury health club that is still considered one of the finest in Southern California.

In 1990, Crawley authored KISS Fitness, a simplified guide to health and fitness. This work eventually lead to the development of the medical division of a major, public, health club company in 1994. This division profitably ($3+ million in revenues) provided Physical Therapy, medically supervised exercise training and wellness services at three medical/rehabilitation clinics inside major health clubs in the Southern California region.

In 1997, Crawley developed an academic curriculum for Santa Monica City College to provide exercise strength training classes for senior citizens. The program has been presented to health and physical education professionals at the last two California State conferences as the standard of structure for providing these services. As a part of this effort, Crawley trained and coached 103-year-old Ben Levinson to an official world record performance in the shot put at the 1998 NIKE World Master's Games.

In 1999, Crawley created a unique personal fitness center, GET FIT! Athletic Training, located in Westlake Village, CA. The center provides Athletic Physical Therapy and Supervised Exercise and Athletic Performance Training to active people and athletes of all ages. Using computer controlled isokinetic exercise machines and virtual video agility games instead of traditional weights, Crawley continues to innovate within the fitness industry to provide the most recent advances in health, fitness and performance training.
